The Court Jester Whose Wit Saved His Life

How a court jester slapped the king's butt, then brilliantly convinced him not to kill him Triboulet served as court jester under King Francis I, who ruled France from 1515 to 1547 . Triboulet's quick humor rescued him from Francis I's deadly wrath, not once, but twice. Court jesters hold a unique place in history. Playing the fool for kings and queens meant they were always in close proximity to royalty, but so very far from their rank and station. Comedians often like to push boundaries, but that can be a dangerous business when your job is to entertain the peope who have executioners at their beck and call. Especially when you forget your place—or purposely ignore it, as the case may be—and playfully smack the reigning monarch square on the behind. That little whoopsie was the claim to fame of Triboulet, a court jester who served King Francis I in 16th-century France. But it was how he got away with slapping the king on the butt and living to tell about it that earne...

Woman terrified after discovering man who's been living under her floorboards for months

One woman was left well and truly terrified after discovering a man who had been living under her floorboards for months.

Ashly Guardino, who lives in California, made the harrowing revelation after hearing some bizarre noises coming from her home.

After investigating where the odd noise was coming from, Ashly was horrified to find that it was not in fact a bird or a family of rodents cozying up beneath her floorboards - but a full-grown man instead. Check it. out:

Ashly decided to chronicle the spine-chilling saga on TikTok in a video which has since gone viral after clocking up more than six million views.

In the video, the woman can be seen stood outside her residence as she recalls the situation.

"I'm standing at the front door and I'm, like, peeking out and I see the grass moving," Ashly began. "A f***ing arm comes out of the hole and is feeling around."

She continued: "There is a whole a** man living here for months. Living underneath the house. You know how creepy it is to see a f***ing arm come out of this, feeling around the side of the house?"

Pretty creepy I'd say.

The woman spotted an arm coming out of a hole in her house.

She then showed the exact spot located near her front door before walking up to the side of her house to show viewers just how the culprit managed to make his way into the crawl space in the first place.

"Imagine being half awake and seeing an arm, a dirty arm come out of this hole," Ashly added while returning to the front of the house.

The video then cuts to a police officer inspecting the house and later shows two officers with their guns drawn as they demanded the person to vacate the property.

The man eventually climbs out from under the crawl space and is placed under arrest with Ashly claiming that he was 'high as s**t'.

The saga ends with the two officers escorting him into a police van.

Two police officers arrived at the scene and arrested the man.

Unsurprisingly, people couldn't wait to share their reactions to Ashly's nightmarish discovery with one TikTok user revealing: " I literally would never sleep again."

Me neither.

A second penned: "Ma'am, you’re gonna have to sell that house if you’re ever wanna sleep again…"

"Never been more grateful to live on a slab with no crawl space in my life," added a third.

"The anxiety this would cause me for the rest of my life," sympathized a fourth. "I am so sorry."

A final TikTok user echoed: "I pray that you can find peace in your home going forward."

Man spending $2m a year to reduce biological age uses his son, 17, as his 'blood boy' Software developer Bryan Johnson from Dallas, Texas is working towards one goal - to have the body of a teenager again. The 45-year-old, who's estimated to have a net worth of around $400 million, hopes to develop a new kind of anti-ageing process, working from the inside out. That includes getting all of his organs, including his skin, bladder, brain, penis, heart, and rectum, to that of an 18-year-old. It turns out, the quest for eternal youth is an incredibly expensive one, with outrageous funds being spent on state-of-the-art medical tests and treatments, experts to craft the perfect eating, sleeping, and training regimen to keep Bryan in tip-top shape, and a team of doctors to help him through the extreme process. Arne Cheyenne Johnson

Arne Cheyenne Johnson: The Devil Made Me Do It Arne Cheyenne Johnson claimed that possession by the Devil had led him to murder Born on February 26, 1952, Arne Cheyenne Johnson holds a somewhat strange claim to fame. He was the first person in the United States to claim demonic possession as a defense in a criminal trial. After being arrested for the murder of his landlord, Alan Bono, in 1981 Johnson claimed, “the Devil made him do it”. Unsurprisingly, his trial became a media sensation at the time and Johnson became a household name. Amazingly, two famous paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren, came to his defense, arguing at trial that Johnson truly was possessed. For decades this has left some wondering if Johnson was guilty or if the devil really made him do it. The Murder To an outsider, it would seem everything was going okay for Arne Johnson in early 1981. He was happily engaged to Debbie Glatzel, had just moved into a new home, and was working as a tree surgeon at...
